What a day!
Life with Jillian
It's hard to believe we have had Jillian for almost 3 weeks now! We are enjoying our time with her, especially when Daddy is home from work and we can all be together! The weather has been very nice this last week so we've been able to get out on some walks with Jillian in her jogger stroller. We have also had several visitors stop by from our church, the seminary, and Abby's work. Many of them have brought meals too so that has been a huge blessing!
We took Jillian for a walk on the South Platte trail behind the seminary, a trail we have walked many times before!

Home with Jillian Grace
We were able to bring home our little Jillian Grace on Sunday afternoon and have been adapting to all the life changes including sleepless nights, dirty diapers, endless picture taking, and constant hugs and kisses. We LOVE our little girl so much and thank God for such a happy, healthy baby. We have enjoyed every minute with her...yes, even the sleepless nights! We have been so fortunate to have Abby's mom staying with us since we came home from the hospital and she has been so helpful providing hot meals, clean laundry, lots of love to baby Jillian, and great company/support for Abby as she heals from her c-section. Thanks, Mom!
Paul's parents are planning to come out soon as well and we are really looking forward to introducing them to baby Jillian!
The last couple days, Jillian has been on some of her first outings including going to Lowe's to visit Daddy, going to Target, and grocery shopping with Mommy and Gram. Jillian loves her car rides and has slept soundly through all of her outings.

Our little girl is here!
Jillian Grace Hovey joined us Wednesday, February 17th at 5:07 PM weighing 7 lbs 8.6 ounces and 19 3/4 in. long. Unfortunately Abby had to have a c-section in the end but the result was still the same...a healthy, happy, beautiful baby girl. We are delighted in this special gift and praise God for such a wonderful blessing.

"A little nudge"
Like our doctor said yesterday, this little girl of ours looks like she is going to need "a little nudge" to come out! She is still quite content parking it inside Abby! At our appointment yesterday we found out Abby hadn't dilated anymore and that it was time to look at inducing. Tonight we are headed to the hospital and will be induced, hoping to meet our daughter by Wednesday! If you think of it, please keep us in prayer as we journey into an evening of unknowns. We are filled with all kinds of emotions right now but are mostly getting so anxious to meet our daughter. We look forward to sharing the news of her arrival with you!

Due date has come and is almost gone and NO BABY!
We had a doctor's appointment today with unfortunately no progress reported. If she doesn't arrive in a week, Abby will be induced. We are hoping she decides to come in the next few days! Abby continues to work full time, trying to stay busy and keep her mind off things. We'll let you know when we have a new addition to the family...hopefully soon!

No news yet...
I'm trying to remember we haven't even reached our due date so I should not be surprised she isn't here yet, especially since most say the first comes late. Still, it is hard when all of my patients and 15+ coworkers greet me each morning with, "You're still here?" . I also had to tell Paul today that he could no longer answer the phone, "Are you in labor?". I don't think these comments help with keeping me patient for her arrival! It has been snowing in Denver the last couple days so I think she is thinking it's warm where she's at and she's in no hurry to come into this cold/snowy season!
We can't wait to share the news with you of her arrival...hopefully sooner rather than later! :)
